Pinhoe B 1 Central Scorpions 0 (CUP)

Played uphill for the first half on a really heavy pitch and soaked up all the pressure. Stunning saves from Adam and Mason strong at the back kept us in with a chance. Pinhoe played attacking football and had plenty of shots. Second half we came out strong and it was a really entertaining football.

We had one saved on the line, kept battling but went out in stoppage time after a scramble in the goal allowed them to score. A great game to watch and either team deserved to win . Man of the match Mason Jones.

Central Yellows 1 Pinhoe B 2

After a few difficult games recently this was a much improved performance from the lads. From the kick off they played with much better focus and a determination to push forward against strong opposition.

The forward and midfield players worked very hard to push Pinhoe back with James Maclay playing some good probing shots. Jem Bartholemew appears to be training for the London Marathon covering most of the pitch, after this performance 26 miles round London should be no problem!

In the end Pinhoe’s speed and strength saw them scoring twice and it may have been more if it wasn’t for a good defensive display and some great saves from Brendon Head who is growing in confidence in goal. A good positive run and passing move saw Jack Hayes getting a goal back for us. All in all a great effort.

Central Yellows 0 vs 3 Pinhoe A

Another positive start against the better Pinhoe side saw a very even first half with good end to end play. Connor Pearce played some good positional defending and this with more good goalkeeping from Brendon saw us go in 0-0 at half time,

A result Pinhoe certainly weren’t expecting. Legs began to tire in the second half causing us to concede the goals but as usual the lads kept their heads up and managed three or four shots on goal. The game was more evenly matched than the result suggests and the lads should feel very pleased with the performance.

Man of the Match Brendon Head.
