After Extra Time
Well the game started with Central penned back in the opening twenty minutes and they found themselves 2-0 down, but just before half time a telling cross into the box by Chris Cole was missed by the defender and the keeper made a hash of it and Tom Shaw smashed his shot home to bring belief to Central.
After half time Central dominated for long spells and with a noisy crowd behind them, (I should know I was sat next to Nigel Parker, boy can he shout) Central grabbed a deserved equaliser when Matthew Webb was found in front of goal and finished coolly. The game was being run by Central now and they were looking more likely to win it - but at the start of extra time Central suddenly started to look tired and the immense effort put in was taking its toll - Twyford sensing this came back into it and had a couple of chances which flashed wide.
At the start of the second half of extra time, Central had to dig deep and boy did they, with just about two minutes left the ball came out of a crowd of players and Captain Dean Davis smacked it into the net to send Central into raptures, but it was still not over Twyford responded as we knew they would, but to no avail.
Let the celebrations begin the lads deserve it!!!
